Ed Sikorski

President and CEO

Ed began his insurance career in 1975 as an underwriter trainee with Dominion of Canada after attending Durham College. From there he moved on to senior roles with Royal Insurance and Royal & Sun Alliance, and obtained his Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation from the Insurance Institute of Canada. Ed has a strong working relationship with many of the large insurance company executives in Canada – an important benefit to Renfrew clients. He is a strong believer in putting customers first and going above and beyond to meet their insurance needs.

Chief Operating Officer

Alanna holds her Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation and has successfully completed the Canadian Risk Management (CRM) academic program. She joined Renfrew in 1996 after spending 15 years underwriting commercial coverage for a major insurance carrier. She started as a Producer at Renfrew, moved up to Marketing Manager, then progressed to her current role as Chief Operating Officer where she oversees the marketing and placement of large accounts and the overall operations of the company.

Jim Royer, B.Sc, CA

Jim Royer, B.Sc, CA

Chief Financial Officer

Jim brings a strong finance background to Renfrew including extensive experience in acquisitions and debt and equity financing. After getting his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Toronto, Jim began his insurance career in 1970 at Manulife Financial, moving on to a number of senior roles at Sovereign Life and General Insurance Group, Intact Insurance and Canada Brokerlink. He is a Chartered Accountant and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta, as well as a graduate of the Program for Management Development from Harvard Business School.
