Kyle was born and raised in Calgary and came into the Insurance Industry naturally as both his mother and grandfather worked in the Industry.

With Renfrew since 2008, Kyle works in the Energy Department focusing on Oil & Gas Contractors, Production Testing Companies, and Junior Exploration & Production Companies. Kyle also works with Technology & IT Related Companies focusing on Software Developers, Programmers, and Consultants.

Kyle attended Mount Royal University in Calgary, and graduated with his Business Administration and Insurance Diploma. He also currently holds his Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) Designation. Kyle is also currently working towards obtaining his Canadian Risk Management (CRM) Designation.

In his spare time, Kyle enjoys many outdoor activities including hockey, golf, snowboarding, and travelling.

Aline has accumulated a wealth of experience during her 28 year career in the workforce. Her experience includes accounting, legal, and small business experience. Aline has chosen the area of financial services as her current career as her goal in life is helping people. She enjoys meeting and helping her clients by preparing custom solutions suited for their immediate needs and budgets utilizing the principles of a holistic financial plan to suit their specific needs and lifestyle. Aline is innovative, solutions oriented and takes a keen interest in her clients needs and concerns. She puts her clients first and foremost when seeking solutions to their needs and concerns.

Aline grew up on a small farm in southern Saskatchewan, and has lived in Alberta for 29 years. The values she learned while growing up in a small community in rural Saskatchewan are the same values she uses when working with her clients today. Aline is active in her community as a member of the Board of Directors for the Odyssey Towers Condominium Corporation, a member of the Leadership team at E-Women Network and is the Calgary Facilitator for Womaniton Education meetings. In her spare time, she enjoys the arts, history, and music and is an avid collector.

David has over 30 years of corporate insurance experience, both in the field and in management. He has been with Renfrew Insurance since 2002 and has honed his expertise in a number of areas including specialty and high risk liability, property management, land development, manufacturing, general contracting, oil and gas and aviation. David is a board member of both Calgary Crime Stoppers and Alberta Severe Weather Management Society, and is the Co-chair of the WICC Annual Motorcycle Cancer Fundraiser.

Michael has been in the insurance industry since 1993, and has been a valuable part of the Renfrew team since 2003. Michael holds a diploma in Business Administration (Insurance major) from Mount Royal University, Risk Management and Management Certificates from the University of Calgary, and Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) & Certified Risk Manager (CRM) professional designations. Areas of expertise include information technology, equipment rental operations, condominium corporations, professional & executive liability.

Sacha Carey

Sacha joined Renfrew in 2010, bringing over 10 years of claims experience, including a number of years as an Adjuster for a large international insurance company and as a Claims Consultant with a large international brokerage. Along the way, she has been involved in a wide variety of claims where advocacy was required to achieve successful settlements. Sacha is co-chair of WICC (Women in Insurance Cancer Crusade) and an active Board member of the Alberta Association of Insurance Adjusters.

Con started his insurance career in the U.K. in 1969, obtaining his insurance qualifications from the British insurance institutes. Subsequent to being an underwriter there for some years he then became a partner/owner of a brokerage before emigrating to Canada. Shortly thereafter he joined a large international brokers office in Calgary, where he spent a number of years specializing in surety and all aspects of construction insurance. He expanded his construction knowledge by spending a year in Errors and Omissions claims adjusting for Architects and Engineers but missed the personal commitment to/of construction. He joined the Renfrew Group in 1993 as a Surety and Construction Specialist and it is that capacity and commitment he remains to this day. His profile is well known in the construction and insurance industry where he offers a bridge from the experience of the past to the anticipation of the future. He remains a representative to the Alberta Road and Heavy Construction Association, the Canadian Construction Association and the Calgary Construction Association.

Since joining Renfrew in 2001, Greg has used his business acumen to actively support the growth of the realty industry in Alberta. He is a member of the Building Owners & Managers Association, the Canadian Condominium Institute – South Alberta Chapter, the Association of Condominium Managers of Alberta, and the Calgary Residential Rental Association. He also offers property managers a credited course on insurance issues through the Canadian Condominium Institute of Canada. Greg’s insurance specialties include commercial buildings, apartment buildings and condominium corporations. As a certified risk manager, he puts great emphasis on assisting his clients with solid preventative risk management solutions.

Since joining the insurance industry in 2005, Josh has acquired a number of professional designations including that of Chartered Insurance Professional, Canadian Risk Manager and Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional. Armed with a Bachelor`s Degree in Commerce from Dalhousie University in Halifax, he began his career as an underwriter with a major insurer and eventually joined Renfrew in 2010, first in the marketing department then as a Commercial Account Executive. His specialties include in transportation, auto repair, senior homes, private schools and contracting.

Sam got his start in the insurance industry in 2001 as a producer with Renfrew. Before that, he spent 12 years running his own construction/contracting business. Sam holds a Marketing Management Business degree from Mount Royal University but nearly everything he learned in life came from being a small business owner and understanding the true value of hard work and dedication. Today, Sam applies his positive work ethic and extensive construction background at Renfrew, writing insurance for the heavy construction industry and related construction businesses. He also sits on numerous Boards of Directors for charities around Calgary in roles ranging from fundraising to corporate governance.

Denise started in the Employee Benefits Industry in 1986 with a major insurance company. To experience and understand the Insurer’s perspective has helped to propel the client experience for Renfrew clients. During those 10 years she worked in the capacity of Service Representative, Underwriter, and eventually in Sales and Marketing.

In 1996 Denise joined Renfrew and has built a strong clientele. She values her client relationships and excels in creative plan designs, self funding options, and leading-edge products. Their team’s goal is to bring together the Client’s core values and objectives with their expertise, ideas, and products to develop exceptional benefit programs. They believe that communication, education and integrity build the foundation of successful business relationships.

In addition to actively managing a client portfolio and the benefits department at Renfrew, she sits on the Board of Renfrew Insurance as well as on the Executive Board of the BBB of Southern Alberta.

Kevin has been in the Employee Benefits Industry since 2002. After graduating from the University of Lethbridge, Kevin spent several years working as an Account Executive for 2 of Canada’s largest insurers where he gained extensive group benefits experience. His inside knowledge of how an insurance carrier operates provides him with a unique perspective and understanding of the Canadian group benefits landscape. Kevin earned his Group Benefits Associate degree obtained post graduation through Dalhousie University. Kevin prides himself on providing quality advice and innovative solutions based on a thorough understanding of your business and situation and is experienced in the design and management of all types of benefit programs. Kevin is committed and dedicated to client service and demonstrates this through his focus on the ongoing management of your account. This includes using his strong presentation skills to educate and communicate with employees to ensure they have a solid understanding of their benefits program. Kevin’s experience can help any company regardless of size.

When not at work, Kevin is very focused on his family. He also finds the time to donate and volunteer with over a dozen charities and non-profit groups within Calgary. He is also an avid hockey player, golfer and baseball player.

Brian Jardine

Brian began his career in insurance with a running start, graduating from Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario with a diploma in Insurance. He joined the insurance industry in 2002 as a large commercial underwriter within one of the world’s largest insurance carriers. In Brian’s role as a Commercial Underwriter it allowed him to gain extensive knowledge and technical skills which he is able to pass on to his clients to help structure their insurance programs and maximize the dollars they spend without compromising the protection they need.

Brian started at Renfrew in 2009, specializing in construction and contractor insurance including homebuilders. Brian is a licensed Level 2 Commercial Broker and has a wide breadth of experience in the insurance industry. With Brian’s well rounded insurance industry knowledge, he truly enjoys working with his clients to help understand their insurance program and to reduce their total cost of risk.

To better serve his customers, Brian continually seeks additional knowledge and self-improvement through many hours of continuing education every year.

Brian and his family support a number of local charities in the Calgary area including the Calgary Humane Society and the Calgary Wildlife Rehabilitation Society.  He pursues a number of outside interests including hockey, baseball, golf and spending time with his wife and 2 dogs.

A valued member of the Renfrew team since 1979, Bill’s experience in the insurance industry dates back to 1969. His expertise lies in risk and claims management, contract and lease interpretation, insurance wording and coverage consultation. Bill is also a member of the Building Owners and Managers Association, the Calgary Residential Rental Association, the Canadian Condominium Institute South Alberta Chapter and the Association of Condominium Managers of Alberta. In addition to these commitments to the industry and to Renfrew, Bill volunteers his time as a board member for the Providence Child Development Society and the Canadian Condominium Institute, South Alberta Chapter.

Craig began his insurance career right at Renfrew in 1998. Before that, he graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor of Science degree and spent several years with an oilfield equipment contracting and environmental consulting company where he looked after insurance requirements as well as EUB compliance. His experience in the oil and gas industry serves him well at Renfrew today, where he specializes in oilfield drilling, well servicing, consulting and environmental contracting. Craig adds to his credentials the professional designations of Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker and Chartered Insurance Professional.

When Brenda joined Renfrew in 1989, she brought with her over 20 years of industry experience including several years as a commercial service representative and personal lines manager. She started in Renfrew’s marketing department then moved into commercial insurance sales in 1994.

Today, Brenda has a diverse portfolio that includes condominiums, apartment buildings, commercial occupied buildings, contracting, retail, office space, oil and gas industry clientele, shipping vessels, new home builders and renovators.

She enjoyed building client relationships so much that she chose to specialize in personal account management in the 1980s, a role she still enjoys and excels at today. Cathy prides herself on dedication to exceptional customer service and applying her vast insurance knowledge to the benefit of all of Renfrew clients.

Scott was born and raised on a purebred Hereford ranch.  He left the farm to go work for the Bank of Montreal.  Over the years, Scott has developed a diverse background and wide range of experience in a number of different areas; including establishing the US operations for a major Canadian oilfield service company, as well as building a 400-site campground in Sundre, Alberta with two partners.  Scott returned to the insurance industry in 1988 to set up the Life department at Renfrew Insurance, which led to the establishment of Renfrew Life Insurance Brokers in 1990.  Scott served as President of Renfrew Life until 2005 and is proud to see that the Life Division has become one of the most respected and caring insurance brokerages, which places our clients first.  Scott continues to service his clients as a benefits consultant.  He is also an avid golfer, slo-pitch player and is very active with his grandchildren.  Scott holds a number of industry accreditations, including Chartered Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (CHFC) designations.

Tony started his career in the insurance business and with Renfrew in 1998 when he moved to Calgary from Ottawa.

Tony is part of the Renfrew Realty division specializing in all types of real estate insurance including property managers, condominiums, commercial and industrial. Tony is a member of the Canadian Condominium Institute of Canada Southern and Northern Alberta Chapter, the Calgary Residential Rental Association and the Association of Condominium Managers of Alberta. Tony holds the Canadian Risk Management designation.

In addition to spending time with his family, Tony is an active volunteer at the Calgary Drop in Centre and The Mustard Seed and enjoys a bit of golf and travel when time permits.

Along with many years as a member of Advocis, he filled a past role as “President of the Calgary Chapter of Advocis.” David’s main focus is on life and living benefits. As part of the Renfrew Realty Division, Chris has a concentration in Realty business as well as focuses on a variety of mid-sized business. His industry affiliations include the Canadian Condominium Institute and the Calgary Residential Rental Association. Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Guelph, majoring in Sociology. He is also a graduate from Mount Royal College with a Business Administration & Insurance Diploma. He currently holds the Chartered Insurance Professional Designation and the Canadian Risk Management Designation respectively.

Coming from a long line of insurance professionals, Chris enrolled in the Mount Royal College Cooperative Insurance Program. He was hired by Renfrew Insurance in 2002 to complete his work term under program and has been with Renfrew ever since.

Chris started in the Personal Lines Division of Renfrew, where he learned the fundamentals of the insurance business.  He subsequently moved into the Commercial Division where his interest in all aspects of business has helped him to develop a solid understanding of the insurance and surety needs of his clients.

Although he has a diverse client base, Chris specializes in the construction industry. As part of his dedication to meeting the risk management needs of his clients, Chris is a member of the Alberta Mechanical Contractors Association, Calgary Construction Association, Electrical Contractors’ Association of Alberta and the Canadian Homebuilders Association – Calgary Region.

Chris supports a number of charities including Habitat for Humanity, The Mustard Seed and The Calgary Humane Society.  In his spare time he enjoys golf, camping, tennis, hockey and traveling.

Len began his insurance career in Winnipeg relocating to Calgary in 1988, joining Renfrew in 1997. He received his CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) accreditation in 1998 followed by his CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) in 2007 and his CHS (Certified Health Insurance Specialist) in 2008. Len is currently a member in good standing with Advocis and ICEBS.

Len has specialized in providing benefit plans and pension plans to business owners in Alberta. His practice encompasses firms in the fields of engineering , manufacturing, retail, real estate , oil and gas.

Len is married to Karen; he is an avid Flames, Jets and Stampeder fan and his outside interests include golfing and curling.
